Tracey H. Fan

Tracey H. Fan is a neurointensivist who specializes in treating patients with acute brain injuries in the critical care setting. Her research interests include understanding the mechanisms of acute brain injury in patients with mechanical circulatory support devices, sepsis, and acute respiratory distress syndrome. She also develops protocols for monitoring, preventing, and managing neurological complications in this patient population. Additionally, she studies the relationship between the brain and other organ systems, and the mechanisms behind non-cerebral complications that can occur following acute brain injuries.

Fan’s research has been published in Canadian Journal of Cardiology, Journal of Neurocritical Care, Current Opinion in Critical Care, Lung, Journal of Stroke and Cerebrovascular Diseases, and Journal of the Neurological Sciences.

She earned a BA with honors in chemistry from the University of Utah and a DO from Touro University Nevada. She completed a neurology residency at Cleveland Clinic Foundation and a neurocritical care fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital/Brigham and Women’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School.
