Sridevi Challa
Assistant Professor
Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology
Sridevi Challa has studied the role of various members of the PARP family of enzymes in ovarian cancer biology. She has discovered new mechanisms by which PARP enzymes regulate the growth of ovarian cancer cells, as well as developed new technologies that expand researchers’ ability to study ADP-ribosylation in physiological systems.
Her research has been published in Cell, eLife, Science, Journal of Biological Chemistry, Molecular Cell, Journal of Medicinal Chemistry, Cancer Research, Translational Oncology, Oncogene, and Cell Chemical Biology.
Challa graduated with a BTech in biotechnology from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras. She received a PhD in cancer biology from the University of South Florida, after which she conducted postdoctoral research at the Cecil H. and Ida Green Center for Reproductive Biology Sciences at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.
