Sofia Buenaventura specializes in abnormal pap smears, endometrial biopsy, endometrial polyps, gynecologic surgery, hysterectomy, hysteroscopy, irregular periods, and menopause.
Her research has been published in Prenatal Diagnosis, Biochemical and Biophysical Research Communications, Mutation Research/Genetic Toxicology, and Cancer Research.
She received an MD from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston and completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
