Shiragi Patel

Shiragi Patel is a pediatric anesthesiologist with interests in medical education, residency curriculum development, and perioperative pain management in the pediatric population.
Her research has been published in Journal of Education in Perioperative Medicine, International Anesthesiology Clinics, and Drug Delivery and Translational Research. She also co-authored a chapter in Bedside Pain Management Interventions (Springer, 2022).
Patel graduated summa cum laude with a BS in biology and a minor in mathematics from Saint Louis University, where she also earned her MD with distinction in medical education. She completed her residency in anesthesiology at the University of Chicago, where she served as chief resident. She then completed a fellowship in pediatric anesthesiology at the Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago.
