Maritza Gonzalez is a maternal-fetal medicine physician, specializing in high-risk pregnancies. She provides comprehensive care to women who have an increased risk of complication throughout pregnancy because of diabetes, obesity, heart disease, mental health disorders, advanced age, hypertension, multiple pregnancy, preeclampsia, and premature birth problems.
In addition to her clinical work, Gonzalez researches ways to better manage high-risk patients. Her research has been published in the American Journal of Perinatology and Journal of Ultrasound in Medicine.
Gonzalez received her MD from the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Chicago and completed a residency and fellowship in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Arizona College of Medicine–Tucson.
