Lauren Singer

Assistant Professor
Department of Neurology

Lauren Singer’s research interests include better understanding of unique molecular markers of primary brain tumors and individualizing treatment based on these markers. She hopes to advance the diagnosis and treatment of leptomeningeal carcinomatosis, a rare but serious complication of cancer. She also has an interest in eliminating systemic barriers to care and focusing on unique challenges for patients based on race, gender, and socioeconomic status.

Her work has been published in Neurologic Clinics, Cancers, eMedical Research, Chinese Clinical Oncology, Advances in Oncology, and The Breast.

Singer received a BA in medicine, health, and society from Vanderbilt University, and a medical degree from Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine. She completed a residency in neurology at Rush University Medical Center and a fellowship in neuro-oncology at McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University.
