Kathryn Mills specializes in gynecologic oncology, with particular focus on minimally invasive methods to treat gynecologic cancers. Her research efforts center around the identification of novel, targeted therapeutics, as well as postoperative and medical management of gynecologic oncology patients. She also has a strong interest in medical student, resident, and fellow education.
Her research has been published in Scientific Reports, Gynecologic Oncology, International Journal of Gynecologic Cancer, and Gynecologic and Obstetric Investigation. She was recently awarded the Gynecologic Oncology Group (GOG) Foundation New Investigator Award to support new researchers striving to develop clinical trials.
Mills earned a BA in movement and sports sciences from Purdue University and an MD from Indiana University. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Chicago and subsequently completed a fellowship in gynecologic oncology at Washington University in St. Louis.
