Insiyyah Patanwala

Insiyyah Patanwala is an obstetrician and gynecologist whose focus incudes gynecologic care and chronic pelvic pain conditions, such as endometriosis, uterine fibroids, ovarian cysts, uterine polyps, abnormal bleeding, pelvic floor muscle spasms, sexual pain, and vulvodynia. She is an expert in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, including laparoscopic and robotic procedures, and is well versed in excisional procedures for endometriosis, robotic removal of fibroids, and complex hysterectomies. She also has a comprehensive pelvic pain practice, including medication management for pain conditions and interventional procedures such as pelvic floor trigger point injections and pudendal nerve blocks.

Her research has been published in Obstetrics & Gynecology, Journal of Endometriosis and Pelvic Pain Disorders, Journal of Minimally Invasive Gynecology, and American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Patanwala holds an MD from the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Chicago, as well as a fellowship at Florida Hospital Medical Center.
