Claudio Rivera is a specialist in pediatric psychiatry who has studied trauma and the effects of police violence and structural violence on youth from Black and brown communities. His research has involved partnering with young people and communities in Chicago to promote health, wellness, and empowerment for navigating and challenging systemic inequities such as poverty and racism.
He received his PhD from DePaul University and completed his pediatric internship and pediatric psychology fellowship at the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago.
