C. Maxwell Medert is a board-certified ophthalmologist who specializes in glaucoma and advanced anterior segment surgery. His research interests include surgical ergonomics, clinical simulation, and interventions for angle closure glaucoma.
His work has been published in Ophthalmology, Ophthalmology Glaucoma, and the American Journal of Ophthalmology. He has presented his work at the annual American Glaucoma Society meeting, as well as the annual Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology meeting.
Medert received his medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine before pursuing an ophthalmology residency at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, University of Miami Health System. He completed a glaucoma and advanced anterior segment fellowship at Washington University in St. Louis.
