Bow (Ben) Chung

Bow (Ben) Chung specializes in the care of patients with cardiovascular disease, including heart failure, heart transplantation, ventricular assist devices (VADs), and mechanical circulatory support. His research focuses on inflammatory cardiomyopathies, such as cardiac sarcoidosis, as well as improving outcomes following heart transplant and placement of VADs.

His work has been published in Journal of Heart and Lung Transplantation, Circulation Heart Failure, and Journal of Cardiac Failure.

Chung earned a BA in biological anthropology from Harvard University and an MD from Jefferson Medical College (now Sidney Kimmel Medical College). He then completed an internship and residency in internal medicine at the University of Chicago. He also completed a cardiology fellowship and an advanced heart failure fellowship at the University of Chicago.
