Beatrice Concepcion

Associate Professor
Department of Medicine

Beatrice Concepcion is a transplant nephrologist and serves as the medical director of the kidney and pancreas transplant program. She specializes in the care of kidney transplant recipients and the evaluation of recipient and living donor candidates. Her research interests include increasing access to kidney and pancreas transplantation, and improving clinical and patient-centered outcomes of kidney transplant recipients.

Her work has been published in the American Journal of Transplantation, Clinical Journal of the American Society of Nephrology, and Transplantation.

Concepcion earned a BS in basic medical sciences and an MD from the University of the Philippines in Manila. She completed an internal medicine residency and a nephrology fellowship at Rush University Medical Center and a transplant nephrology fellowship at Vanderbilt University. She also obtained an MS in health services and outcomes research at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. Most recently she was an associate professor of medicine in the Division of Nephrology and Hypertension at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
