Anna McCormick

Assistant Professor
Department of Pediatrics

Anna McCormick is a specialist in pediatric critical care medicine. She provides care for children in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and the Pediatric Sedation Service. Her specific interest is in patient safety, quality improvement, and development of high-performing teams. Her research uses simulation to understand, and ultimately improve, how individuals and interprofessional teams develop cohesion and expertise to optimize critical care delivery.

Her research has been published in Pediatrics in Review.

McCormick received a BS in biology from Duquesne University and completed medical school at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her pediatric residency and served as chief resident at John R. Oishei Children’s Hospital in Buffalo, New York. Most recently, she completed a pediatric critical care fellowship at St. Louis Children’s Hospital, the pediatric teaching hospital for Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis.
