Abdullah Pratt is an emergency medicine physician. His research has appeared in the Journal of Biomedical Science and Engineering, Diabetes Education, American Journal of Stem Cells, and Current Cancer Therapy Reviews.
Pratt graduated from Valparaiso University with a BS in biology, focusing on developmental anatomy, with minors in psychology and chemistry. As a rising senior, he participated in the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine Experience in Research (PSOMER) program, where he gained valuable insight into developing skills in basic science research, as well as a deeper understanding around issues pertaining to health care disparities. He earned his MD from the Pritzker School of Medicine and completed his residency in emergency medicine at the University of Chicago. Pratt is a member of the board of directors of the Provident Foundation, a nonprofit organization established to celebrate the legacy of historic Provident Hospital in Chicago and the contributions of its founder by promoting education for and providing scholarship opportunities to urban youth pursuing careers in medicine.
