Rajlakshmi Krishnamurthy is a general internist, and Chief Clinical Transformation Officer at the University of Chicago Medicine, overseeing the further development of ambulatory health system efforts and clinical programs related to value-based care and population health.
She received her BA from Boston University (BU) and an MD from BU School of Medicine. She completed her residency in internal medicine at BU, where she served as chief resident. Before joining the University of Chicago, she was associate chief of medicine for VA Connecticut Healthcare System, where she oversaw its residency program and inpatient teaching service. She also provided oversight and strategic planning for primary care for eight hospital systems within the VA New England Healthcare System. In addition, she served as vice chair of the Department of Medicine at BU School of Medicine. Most recently, she was medical director of Newton-Wellesley Physician Hospital Organization and Newton-Wellesley Ambulatory Services in Massachusetts.
