Michelle Lemelman

Michelle Lemelman specializes in pediatric endocrinology, with a particular interest in pediatric thyroid disease and thyroid cancers, as well as pediatric diabetes, including monogenic and neonatal diabetes. Her research has focused on the neurocognitive outcomes in ATP-sensitive (KATP) channel–related diabetes in children. She has published a related review article in Clinics of Perinatology.

She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida and an MD from the University of Miami Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine. She completed a residency in pediatrics at the University of Chicago Medicine Comer Children’s Hospital. She was also a pediatric endocrinology fellow in the Section of Adult and Pediatric Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism at the University of Chicago Medicine.
