Junaid Nizamuddin

Junaid Nizamuddin’s clinical interests include caring for critically ill patients. Among his academic interests are echocardiographic studies of patients in the intensive care unit. Most recently, he performed a study examining echocardiographic findings in patients with aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage.

His research findings have been published in the Journal of the American Heart Association and the Journal of Child Neurology.

Nizamuddin earned a BS from the University of Virginia, where he received the Merck Index Award for academic distinction in the field of chemistry. He received his MD from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, after which he completed an internship in internal medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School and residency training in anesthesiology at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School. He also held a fellowship in critical care medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center/Harvard Medical School.
