Bryan Smith

Bryan Smith is a cardiologist. His research has been published in Current Atherosclerosis Reports, Obstetric Medicine: The Medicine of Pregnancy, and the Journal of Medical Internet Research.

Smith holds a BA in biology from Harvard University, as well as an MD from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. While in medical school, he served as a teaching assistant for a course focused on raising awareness about health disparities on the South Side of Chicago. He also taught summer classes, organized discussion sections, and assisted in preparation of final presentations for underrepresented college students interested in medicine, through the Chicago Academic Medical Program (CAMP). He also completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Chicago, as well as a fellowship in cardiology. In 2016, he delivered the Bowman Society Junior Faculty Research Lecture. Most recently, he completed a fellowship in advanced heart failure and transplant at Northwestern Memorial Hospital.
