Bethany Slater is a board-certified pediatric surgeon who provides care to children of all ages who suffer from a wide spectrum of conditions, including congenital malformations, anorectal malformations, and pediatric cancers. She has extensive training and experience using minimally invasive surgical techniques that employ smaller incisions, which decrease post-surgical pain and speed recovery. She strives to provide compassionate care using evidence-based treatments and works with a multidisciplinary team to ensure that children receive personalized, complete approaches to the diagnosis and treatment of their conditions.
Her research has been published in Seminars in Pediatric Surgery, Case Reports in Clinical Pathology, and the Journal of Laparoendoscopic and Advanced Surgical Techniques. Part A. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American College of Surgeons, and the Association of Women Surgeons.
Slater received a BA in biology from Columbia University and attended medical school at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. She completed her surgical internship and residency at Stanford University, as well as a fellowship in pediatric surgery at Baylor College of Medicine. Most recently, she was affiliated with the Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children in Denver.
