Sonali Paul

Sonali Paul is a hepatologist with an interest in viral hepatitis, autoimmune and cholestatic disease, liver transplantation and organ allocation, and patient-centered outcomes research. Her scholarship has been published in Digestive Diseases and Sciences, Annals of Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology, and Gastroenterology Report.

Paul received a BS from Tufts University and was awarded the Class of 1921 Leonard Carmichael Prize Scholarship for academic achievement in psychology, as well as the Class of 1911 Prize Scholarship for academic and extracurricular achievement. She holds an MD from the Tufts University School of Medicine, where she was the recipient of its Women’s Alumni Association Award and the Arnold P. Gold Foundation Award for Humanism in Medicine. She completed her internal medicine residency at Massachusetts General Hospital and returned to Tufts for her fellowship training in gastroenterology. She also earned an MS in clinical and translational science from the Sackler School of Graduate Biomedical Sciences at Tufts. She was a clinical instructor in the Division of Gastroenterology at Tufts Medical Center and subsequently completed an advanced hepatology fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital.
