Nicole Sprawka

Nicole Sprawka’s specialization is maternal-fetal medicine, and she also has expertise in genetic and birth defects. She treats high-risk obstetrical patients and consults on complex obstetrical cases. She focuses on prenatal diagnosis, pre-conception counseling, and such maternal medical disorders as diabetes and seizure disorders.

Her research has been published in the American Journal of Obstetrics & Gynecology and was also presented at the 15th International Conference of the International Society for Prenatal Diagnosis, in Amsterdam.

Sprawka received her MD from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. She completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Baylor College of Medicine and a fellowship in maternal-fetal medicine at the Women and Infants Hospital of Rhode Island/Warren Alpert Medical School at Brown University. Most recently, she was an assistant professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Illinois at Chicago, with a specialty in maternal-fetal medicine, and practiced at its Center for Women’s Health.
