Shilpa Iyer

Shilpa Iyer specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of female incontinence, overactive bladder, and pelvic organ prolapse. As a member of the interdisciplinary care team in the Center for Pelvic Health, she performs vaginal and minimally invasive surgical techniques to treat urogynecologic conditions. In addition to her clinical work, she conducts research on overactive bladder, surgical outcomes, and pelvic pain. She continues to teach medical students and gynecology residents, and has an interest in medical education research.

Iyer received her MD from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She completed her residency at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital, as well as a fellowship at NorthShore University HealthSystem and the University of Chicago Medicine.
