Matthew Cerasale’s academic interests are focused on quality improvement. He has experience in improving the care of patients with regard to venous thromboembolism (VTE) prophylaxis, as well as inpatient resource utilization, electronic health record optimization, and quality improvement education. His clinical interests include adult inpatient care, consultative medicine, and perioperative medical care.
His research has been published in the American Journal of Cardiology.
Cerasale earned an MD from Indiana University and completed a residency in internal medicine at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, where he served as chief resident. He also holds an MPH from Michigan State University.
