Karima Addetia’s clinical interests include various forms of echocardiography, including transthoracic, exercise and non-exercise stress, trans-esophageal and 3-D, as well as etic resonance.

Her research has been published in the Journal of the American Society of Echocardiography, JACC: Cardiovascular Imaging, and the European Heart Journal–Cardiovascular Imaging.

Addetia received her MD from Memorial University of Newfoundland, where she also completed a residency and fellowship in internal medicine. She also completed fellowships in level III echocardiography and cardiology at McGill University, and in level III cardiovascular magnetic resonance imaging and advanced multimodality clinical research imaging at the University of Chicago.
