Thomas K. Lee is a pediatric general surgeon, whose clinical interests include the surgical treatment of congenital anomalies, thoracic disease including chest wall anomalies, gastrointestinal conditions including inflammatory bowel disease, pediatric cancers, and pediatric trauma.

As an academic surgeon, Lee has published more than 50 peer-reviewed articles, abstracts, and book chapters on a diverse range of topics, including small bowel transplantation and pediatric trauma care. He serves as a reviewer for several journals, including the Journal of Pediatric Surgery, Transplantation Proceeding, American Journal of Perinatology, and Pediatric Transplantation. He is the recipient of several teaching awards for surgical education and also has expertise in health care administration specific to process and quality improvement.

Lee earned his MD from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency training at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical College, as well as a fellowship in pediatric surgery at Saint Louis University School of Medicine.
