Brandon Pierce

Brandon Pierce is affiliated with the American Society of Human Genetics, International Genetic Epidemiology Society, Society for Epidemiological Research, and American Association for Cancer Research (AACR).

His many honors and awards include the Department of Defense Breast Cancer Postdoctoral Fellowship Award, University of Washington Graduate School Fund for Excellence and Innovation Travel Award, Institute for Public Health Genetics Graduate Student Travel Award, Scholarship for Advanced Linkage Mapping Course from Rockefeller University, and the AACR-AstraZeneca Scholar-in-Training Award.

Pierce received his PhD in public health genetics from the University of Washington and his BA in biology (minor in business) and MS in genetic epidemiology from Washington University in St. Louis. He completed his postdoctoral training in molecular, genetic, and environmental epidemiology at the University of Chicago.

Pierce joined the University of Chicago faculty in 2010.
