Andrew Schram’s academic interests focus on increasing the operational efficiency of caring for hospitalized patients with the goal of optimizing the utilization of limited health care resources. He is also developing innovative hospitalist staffing models to facilitate increased coordination of care between inpatient and outpatient settings.
His research findings have been published in the American Journal of Hospice and Palliative Medicine.
Schram holds a BA in ethics, politics, and economics from Yale University, as well as an MD and an MBA from the University of Chicago. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Rush University Medical Center.
