Gillian Brennan

Gillian Brennan is a faculty member in the Section of Neonatology in the Department of Pediatrics. Her research has been published in Developmental Neuroscience. She also contributed a chapter, “Neurologic Complications of Mechanical Ventilation,” for the Manual of Neonatal Respiratory Care.

Brennan received the degrees of bachelor of medical science (BMedSc), bachelor of medicine (MB), bachelor of surgery (BCh), and bachelor of obstetrics (BAO) from the University College Dublin School of Medicine and Medical Science in Ireland. She completed a medical and surgical internship at St. Vincent’s University Hospital in Dublin, as well as a pediatric residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York. She also completed newborn medicine and research fellowships at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill-Cornell Medical Center. Most recently, she was an assistant professor of clinical pediatrics in the Division of Neonatology at the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Chicago.
